By Jae-Ha Kim, Tribune Content Agency on

A. That everyone's culture is different, obviously, but we're all the same in nature. And, a smile goes a long way, especially when you can't speak the local language.

Q. Where are your favorite weekend getaways?

A. If I have two or three days to myself, I like to go to the countryside. Going to rural France or parts of Italy are really great. I like going to places like that, although I end up wanting to stay much longer than two or three days.

Q. What are your five favorite cities?

A. London and New York, definitely. Paris, for sure. I had a great time in Kingston, Jamaica. Tokyo was really cool. I had some great times there and ate some great meals.

Q. What is on your travel bucket list?

A. Hawaii. I've not been there yet.

Q. What do you always bring on your travels?

A. Headphones, laptop and hard drives. My music is on my hard drives. I also like to read.

Q. What is your best and/or worst vacation memory?

A. All my vacations have been really lovely. And I don't know that there is a worst. I can say, though, that I travel so much that it seems like every other trip is a bit horrible with some of the things that go wrong. It's hard for anyone to stand out in that respect. I have had travel nightmares with everything falling apart, but it all gets straightened out and you just go on.
